In order to actively prepare for the undergraduate education teaching audit and evaluation, further enhance the teaching level of faculty, and promote high-quality development in education and teaching, the school organized a classroom teaching observation activity for undergraduate theoretical courses on March 17. The event invited all young faculty members and teachers responsible for undergraduate courses to participate.
The observation activity included two sessions. From 10:20 AM to 12:00 PM in Classroom 5-416, Professor Yu Li delivered an engaging lecture on the nationally top-tier course "Microbiology" in a small-class setting. With solid professional knowledge and rich teaching experience, Professor Li skillfully integrated theoretical knowledge with practical cases. Using vivid and illustrative teaching methods, she guided students to think actively and participate enthusiastically. Throughout the class, the students were fully engaged, leveraging the advantages of small-class teaching to interact and communicate with the instructor, creating a lively and dynamic atmosphere.
From 3:25 PM to 5:05 PM, Professor Yu'ou Teng conducted the course "Physiology and Medical Fundamentals" in the Lecture Hall 9-13. Professor Teng employed diverse teaching methods, such as multimedia presentations and in-class quizzes, to fully stimulate students' learning enthusiasm. The course content was presented in an accessible yet profound manner, emphasizing both the transmission of foundational knowledge and cutting-edge scientific and technological innovations, offering students a remarkable intellectual feast.
After the observation activity, the participating teachers expressed that they had gained immensely. One young teacher remarked, "Through this on-site observation, I witnessed the exemplary demeanor of outstanding teachers in the classroom and learned many practical teaching methods and classroom management techniques. It provided new inspiration and reflection for my own teaching." Another young teacher added, "The observation made me aware of the shortcomings in my own teaching. I will continuously improve and strive to enhance the quality of my teaching."
This special observation activity for the undergraduate education teaching audit and evaluation provided a platform for teachers to learn from each other and exchange insights. It contributed to the improvement of teaching standards and the overall enhancement of education and teaching quality in the school. Taking this event as an opportunity, the school will further strengthen teaching management, deepen teaching reforms, and fully prepare for the upcoming undergraduate education teaching audit and evaluation, striving to cultivate more high-quality professionals.
