A Delegation from Xianghu Laboratory Visits Tianjin University of Science and Technology for Exchange and Discussion
Recently, a delegation from Xianghu Laboratory visited Tianjin University of Science and Technology for an exchange and discussion session. The meeting was attended by Lu Fuping, Deputy Party Secretary and President of the university; Ma Long, Deputy Director of the International Exchange Office; members of the leadership team of the relevant college; and some teacher representatives. The meeting was chaired by Du Yangang, Party Secretary of the College of Biotechnology.
Lu Fuping extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Xianghu Laboratory and introduced the university's historical evolution, discipline construction, research characteristics, and the remarkable interim achievements made since the implementation of the "Pioneer Plan." He expressed his anticipation that both parties would focus on cutting-edge fields such as synthetic biology and green biomanufacturing, strengthening cooperation in scientific research, achievement transformation, and talent cultivation, and making new positive contributions to promoting the progress of China's biomanufacturing industry and serving local economic and social development.
Yang Hua, Executive Deputy Director of Xianghu Laboratory and Deputy Party Secretary of the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, congratulated the university on its outstanding achievements in the field of biological engineering. He introduced the construction progress and research direction layout of Xianghu Laboratory, expressing hope that both parties could engage in in-depth cooperation in various aspects, including academic exchange, discipline construction, and talent sharing, through resource sharing and complementary strengths.
Ma Long introduced the discipline development, team building, research platform construction, and development plans of the college. Both parties conducted focused exchanges on topics such as research project applications, joint research initiatives, and talent cultivation.
