Promoting Excellence through Evaluation: The College of Biotechnology Holds Classroom Teaching Observation Activities for Undergraduate Courses
To actively prepare for the undergraduate education and teaching accreditation evaluation, further enhance teachers' teaching abilities, and drive high-quality development in education and teaching, the College of Biotechnology organized a classroom teaching observation activity for undergraduate theoretical courses on March 17th. The event invited all young faculty members and teachers responsible for teaching undergraduate courses to participate.
Two observation sessions were arranged for this activity. In the morning, from 10:20 to 12:00, in Classroom 5-416, Teacher Li Yu delivered an outstanding small-class lecture on the national-level first-class course "Microbiology." Leveraging her solid professional knowledge and extensive teaching experience, Teacher Li skillfully integrated theoretical knowledge with practical cases, employing vivid and engaging explanations to encourage active thinking and participation among students. During the class, students were fully attentive, taking advantage of the small-class setting to interact and communicate with the instructor, creating a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere.
In the afternoon, from 15:25 to 17:05, in Lecture Hall 9-13, Teacher Teng Yu'ou presented the course "Physiology and Pharmaceutical Foundations." Teacher Teng employed a variety of teaching methods, such as multimedia presentations and in-class quizzes, to fully engage students' learning enthusiasm. The course content was delivered in a clear and accessible manner, emphasizing both the transmission of foundational knowledge and the cutting-edge technological innovations in the discipline, providing students with a splendid feast of knowledge.
After the observation activities, teachers expressed that they had gained a great deal. One young teacher remarked, "Through this observation, I witnessed the charisma of outstanding teachers in the classroom and learned many practical teaching methods and classroom management techniques. It has given me new inspiration and ideas for my own teaching." Another young teacher also stated, "The observation made me realize the shortcomings in my teaching. I will continuously improve and strive to enhance the quality of my teaching in the future."
This special observation activity for the undergraduate education and teaching accreditation evaluation provided a platform for teachers to learn from each other and exchange insights, contributing to the improvement of teachers' teaching abilities and the overall enhancement of the college's educational and teaching quality. The college will take this event as an opportunity to further strengthen teaching management, deepen educational reforms, and make thorough preparations for the upcoming undergraduate education and teaching accreditation evaluation, striving to cultivate more high-quality professionals.
